2016 Trip #3
Tom Jansen and Myself on a very windy three day trip to Springfield, CO.
The first day the wind was ONLY 20 – 25 mph, but a warm day. Didn’t get many on this day, the wind. I managed to shoot most of them with little problems because of the mil-dot scope I had on my 221 FireBall. I got a shot at a Badger that first day with the 221 FireBall. I tried to hit it in the head but the cross wind pushed my bullet into its lower neck and I didn’t get a solid hit, it made it down the hole.
The second day the wind was 25 – 30 mph, not so warm. I shot mostly my 22 BR on this day, but I did shoot some 22 PPC.
The third day the wind was over 30 mph, and very cold. We didn’t stay long that day, headed home. Stayed with the 22 BR for the time we stayed, just to much wind.
The last few pics was kicking the cow pie contest, Tom won.
